So the day is upon me. :-\

I developed an exhaust manifold leak(DS) (so it is believed) on my way home from a long trip.
(I checked the DPs, they look good, and I can't see puffs of smoke)

I'm going to need to pull the motor to figure out what it is.
(cracked manifold, loose manifold bolt, etc)

While I have it out I'd like to take care of things that aren't big-ticket.
(Since my injectors went out I've done the top-feed switch w/under-hood SS hoses, got DPs+clutch+tune from SZ so I'm strapped on cash)

I KNOW there are things I won't think of until I'm in there, and honestly, I have 2 days to do this.
I'm asking for help & guidance from the many here who have/do pulls on our cars all the time to chime in and help me do it right while I'm in there.

Things I know I should do/want to do:

- Knock sensor sub-harness (I repaired mine during plenum pull, but why not while it's out)

- BDE half-moon plugs (Need to re-seal the exhaust valve covers anyway. (Did intakes during pull)

- OEM Motor mounts (I think they're original, no reason to leave em in)

- Turbo oil lines and coolant lines. (I know 1 water line was replaced by SZ, but why leave ancient others?)

- Turbos (I have access to good OEMs, so if mine aren't ok they're gone)

- OEM manifold (I have a replacement if this one is cracked.)

IS there anything else I should be aware of?
Am I forgetting something that should be replaced on the motor?
Am I overlooking something else I'll have access to that is truly difficult unless the motor is out?

Does it make it alot easier to remove the front bumper and other parts in front to remove the motor?

How much of a difference in difficulty is there if I separate the trans(5sp) instead of leaving them together?

One thing I left out is that when I did my SS hose conversion I was *really* not happy with not having braid go all the way to the tank.
(I used barbs to mate to the hoses down by the DS turbo)
I at some point want to run E85.
running a supplementary pump, it's easy to do with the stock pump and the supp in the tank?
I'm thinking about running braid all the way back since I'll have access to the area near the turbo now.
The only reason it's a question is, I don't want to run braid all the way to the tank if I need a pump outside it later on.

IF I can gain access to the hoses near the turbo with the motor IN, I'll stave that off for now to save money.

Thank you for any advice you can give!
